Reincarnation Stories have often intrigued researchers, documentary makers and laymen alike. The Discovery Channel aired a documentary on reincarnation in 2012 called, “Past Lives: Stories of Reincarnation,” which is a must see for anyone interested in the phenomenon.

These stories are true. MIT quantum physicist has proposed a hypothesis for investigation that consciousness could be something in existence without a mind.
Mental formation in the consciousness is like mental river. It is always flowing and always changing. Each rebirth adds and subtracts to that mental river; hence, it cannot be said that there is a soul. Instead, there is changing mental formation like electricity flowing through light bulbs.
As long as there is delta voltage, or high and low point, there will be electricity and river flowing. As long as there is craving, there will be mental formation flowing.
By un-conditioning your mind to equanimity, absence of craving and aversion, you cease rebirth because you have altered the imbalance. As long as there is low point, river will flow. As long as there is lower voltage, electricity will flow. As long as there is craving and/or aversion, mental formation containing that energy will flow.
With equanimity, no desire and no aversion, there is no more imbalance for mental formation to flow.
